L'église aurait été, à l'origine, un fort auquel aurait été ajouté plus tard un oratoire. Elle est mentionnée comme paroissiale dès 1311. Au pied de la tour se trouvait le puits, aujourd'hui enclos dans la chapelle Saint-Roch, ajoutée à la fin des guerres anglaises, sans doute vers 1452. En élargissant la partie réservée au culte, le nouvel édifice préparait la défense : meurtrières, évier, latrines pour les soldats étaient aménagés dans la partie supérieure.Classement monument historique :
